About My Art & Philosophy

Painting is risk and vulnerability wrapped in shape, texture, and color. Art exists beyond the image on the page.

I am a self-taught artist who cannot draw a straight line. A lifetime of coloring outside the lines helped me learn how to cultivate my challenges into strengths.

I believe creating art is a deeply intuitive process. To paint, I must get out of my head and into my body. In that space I am able to feel, to trust, and to risk. Art becomes my breath. In my art I dream. In my art I reshape. In my art I live.

Painting is risk and vulnerability wrapped in shape, texture, and color. Art exists beyond the image on the page. Within art lives the journey of triumph and error, of joy and heartbreak, and of hope and reality. In every one of my paintings lives a part of me and my lived experience.

The opportunity for my art to live in your home is a gift. The home is a sacred space where you curate the energy and aesthetic that will provide the backdrop for living. The art on your walls must add joy to your life and home. I paint to celebrate a life lived in color—all of them.
